WHAT IS AN ON-LOCATION SELF TAPE, ANYWAY?!
Save yourself the trip to the studio and we'll come to you! We will bring a camera, boom mic, tripod, and experienced reader. It's GrubHub for self tapes!

RJ Walker will be meeting you at your chosen location and will serve as your reader and videographer

On-Location Sessions are perfect for actors with busy schedules, parents, folks who are visiting NYC, performers recovering injury, or anyone who simply prefers the comfort and convenience of their own space. If traveling to the studio adds unnecessary stress, we'll bring the studio to you.

We handle the technical details, provide an experienced reader, and create a calm, supportive environment so you can stay present and focused on your performance. HOW DO I GET MY FOOTAGE?
We'll transfer it over to your computer via USB reader right after the session. If there is any additional editing that needs to be done, we'll do so by end of day and send you a link via email.

IN-STUDIO FAQs
WHERE IS THE BROOKLYN STUDIO LOCATED?
Flatbush, Brooklyn on Ocean Avenue, along the west side of the Brooklyn College Campus. The closest train is the Q off the Avenue H stop. It’s a beautiful neighborhood, and is ranked among the safest in the entire borough. Free street parking available, as well as cheap metered spots nearby.

WHO AM I TAPING WITH?
Marvin Avila will be working with you at the studio, as your reader, videographer, and tech guy.

CAN I TAPE MORE THAN ONE AUDITION?
Yes.

​CAN I FILM A MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION?
Absolutely. If there is enough time, we'll even edit the music track into the clip so that the sound quality is closer to that of a professional recording.

HOW FAST CAN I GET MY FOOTAGE?
Typically, you will receive your footage in a downloadable Dropbox link in about 15 minutes after the end of the session. This can vary, of course, depending on the audition. If scenes are extremely long, or if you require multiple takes to be edited and uploaded, it may take a bit longer. But don’t worry: we are always aware of due dates for the auditions and will make sure we get everything in on time!

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU TAKE?
We accept pretty much all of it: Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, PayPal, Credit Card, tap-to-pay, or plain old fashioned cash.

​​​​HOW GOOD IS THE QUALITY OF A VIRTUAL SELF TAPE?
Overall, the quality is very good. It depends somewhat on what kind of camera you're using. For example a 4K Webcam is going to have better picture quality than a regular iPhone. However, the recordings will always upload to the best resolution possible for your device.
